Chocolate is good for you

October 29, 2008

Flavonoids are good for you.  But what in the world are flavonoids anyway?  Well, flavonoids are the “good stuff” found in berries… strawberries, fruits, vegetables and teas.  The “good stuff” is good for your heart as well as other organs in your body.

These flavonoids have the same affects as antioxidants. If you don’t know what antioxidants are, please read this article… http://members.ezinearticles.com/?type=pv&art_id=1241832&id=110275&pass=7e52e26f9150dfcb60e9e4920c052a1f762b921417f95af38c7afff311918f94

That doesn’t sound very exciting, though, does it?  Eating vegetables and fruits all the time.  In the words of Emeril Lagasse, we need to “kick it up a notch”… make things more exciting.

Well, let me tell you, it does get more exciting…

Dark chocolate has flavonoids in it.  Chocolate? Yes, chocolate!  Studies show that eating one half a bar of dark chocolate a week might be a good habit to get into … and that it is good for your heart.

Sorry to tell you that milk chocolate does not do the trick for our heart.  It interferes with creating “good stuff” from happening in our bodies.

So with Halloween coming around, remember, if you are going to binge on chocolate, binge on dark chocolate!

Why Over the Counter Wart Removers Don’t Work

October 27, 2008

Over the Counter Wart Removers are becoming more and more popular all the time.

The problem is, typically they don't work.

The main problem with over the counter wart removers is is once the wart is removed… it keeps coming back… and typically stronger than ever.

Why does this keep happening? Well, what you have to understand is that most of the products available just do not penetrate deep enough into the skin for their chemical components to work properly.

The premise of these products is to kill the tissue the wart virus lives in and thus kill the virus.

Unfortunately, by not being able to get down far enough to remove all of the virus infected cells of a wart, it survives to re-grow another day. This usually leaves the person chronically treating the same areas over and over again -- sometimes for years.

If you have tried these methods in the past, I am sure you can attest to the fact that the results are often bleeding, pain, secondary infections, itching, and finally abandoning the treatment that hurts worse than the wart itself.

I am sure you understand the frustration and anger felt when you do persevere for the length of time recommended to remove the wart, only to find the wart coming back!

What I have found through experience is that it is not worth wasting your time, money, and patience on over-the-counter products.  If you have a wart or skin tag you want to get rid of safely and permanently, there is another way!
